Talking with me about proper music journalism is usually something that gets me riled up pretty quick due to the sheer absence of it. That said, there’s still some quality music journalism going on in the electronic music world and I’m happy it does. Below are some recommendations that generally provide good writing on music or trends within the industry.

Media

    First Floor

Newsletter run by music journalist Shawhn Reynaldo who is, besides being a very nice human, one of the best writers out there. Great weekly round-ups of recent releases and sharp and factual commentary on industry topics.

    Futurism Restated

Renowed music journalist Philip Sherburne spoiling you with new “experimental” and ambient releases every week? That’s a no brainer, and you should sign up today. The paid version also features interviews and event recaps.
